Tasting wine at Seven Oakes is an experience that no one should miss.
Patrick’s knowledge about wine, the valley and the varietals and his passion for the vine is phenomenal. The wine tasting and pairing with chocolate is a unique experience enhanced by how Patrick was telling us and asking questions about the wines, but it was so much fun.
All the time, you think you have the answer, but you don’t. Patrick fascinated us with the story of how he bought the farm, and even though he did not mention it, we could sense that a lot of hard work went into building the farm up to what it is today.
Patrick and Jacqui is the perfect couple, and it seems like they have been conducting countless pairings the way they fulfil each other, few words needed speaking, and the pairing was flawless and up to par, very impressive.
You could also see that much pride went into the tasting and how much it meant to Patrick and Jacqui, as everything was spick and span. They each knew beforehand what the other one would do before the time, so the other one can be ready to assist. Patrick and Jacqui were the perfect hosts! I salute them.
